3:30:00 PM
Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons freshly chopped chives
1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley leaves
2 cups grated sharp yellow Cheddar or any Cheese
1 1/2 cup buttermilk
4 tablespoons butter, melted
4 Pieces of Cooked Bacon Chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cayenne together using a whisk. Add the herbs, cheese and buttermilk. Stir together until dough forms. Once dough has formed, using an ice cream scooper, scoop out dough onto baking tray. With a brush, lightly butter tops. Bake for 15 minutes.
*These are drop biscuits so use a spoon or ice cream scoop to place them, rolling out the dough and forming with biscuit cutters could ruin final product of the biscuit*
*For Lighter, Fluffier Biscuits - Use a sifter or fine strainer and sift all the dry ingredients together 4 times to create a light fluffy biscuit.*
